The Diego Brown Project was a creative collective embedded in the heart of Southern California’s Hip-hop scene. 

Arash Afshar served as Artist-in-Residence, music video director, designer, and co-host of Crappy Awesome Podcast, recording over 200 episodes featuring guests such as The Pharcyde, Rakka of Dilated Peoples, Hasan Minhaj, Fahim Anwar, Kayla Carrera, 2Mex, Reverie, and others shaping music, comedy, and culture.

His contributions spanned on-stage backup vocals to directing, shooting, and editing a series of underground Hip-hop music videos. This period was pivotal in refining his storytelling instincts, production sensibility, and ability to build within grassroots creative communities.
