Justified Hype was a grassroots creative collective and independent magazine platforming artists, thinkers, and community leaders who shape culture from the edges. Founded and led by Arash Afshar, the project combined original photography, design, and editorial storytelling with real-world events and pop-up exhibitions.
At its peak, Justified Hype served as a nexus for San Diego’s underground art and music scenes—known as much for its charisma and collective energy as for its bold editorial voice.
