Overview

Yesterday I Was Clever is Arash Afshar’s most introspective and spiritually-rooted channel—a place to explore artist consciousness, cultural identity, sexuality, and personal liberation through writing and unscripted reflection.

At its core is a book-in-progress—part accidental memoir, part coming-out guide for artists—that argues Artist is not just a profession, but a core identity and way of seeing the world. The accompanying podcast will feature Arash reading his own writing and expanding on it in freeform, behind-the-scenes commentary: raw, intuitive, and soul-forward.

This work is designed for the ones who live in between—bridge-builders, shapeshifters, and cultural vanguards. Those whose art isn’t just what they make, but how they move through the world.

The Artists we support shape the culture we live in.

Every law, trend, and movement starts as an idea. When you support an Artist, you’re not just endorsing their work, you’re voting for the version of reality you want to exist.

Support can look like a monthly pledge on Patreon, subscribing to the email list, following on Instagram or YouTube, or forwarding this to someone who may be interested in hiring me.
